My wife so graciously pointed out to me that one of my favorite scholarly societies (of which I have been a member some years now) has a rather funny acronym: IBS (International Bonhoeffer Society…not to be confused with “irritable bowel syndrome“). I’m not sure why this acronym was chosen (perhaps the German speaking portion of the society chose it), but it is rather humorous.
All that aside, it was brought to my attention by the latest edition of the society newsletter that IBS is now beginning to post all of the previous newsletters online. This is a wonderful gift to Bonhoeffer students like myself. They are not all posted at this point, but in process and the first number of years (and the last several) have all be posted. Ah…more exciting news from IBS.
